Welcome to my eclectic collection of pop, prog, psychedelia, rock etc

The list is available as an alphabetical artists listing, split into 7" & EPs, 10" & 12" singles, and LPs. These lists have recently been updated although, with ongoing sales, there may be one or two items that are no longer available. Insurance is available and vinyl has been successfully sent to, and received in, Japan, UK, Spain, France, Finland, Roumania, Australia, Portugal and USA. The good news for UK collectors is that you can pay in £sterling to a UK address. I also accept PAYPAL but ask you to pay the fees. This usually amounts to an additional 5%.

To place an order please send an e-mail via the 'Contact' button on above navigation bar

The alphabetical artists listing is based on artists’ first name; hence Neil Young is to be found under “N”.  For most groups I have tried not to use the prefixes “THE” or “A”. This means that the WHO are to be found under “W”.

Unless stated otherwise all records are original UK issues in Excellent or Mint condition. Some records are unplayed, especially B-sides. Any defects are noted in the condition column. UK 60’s/70’s singles are housed in original company paper sleeves unless noted otherwise. Later singles are generally in picture sleeves. I will give a comprehensive condition description for any record in which you express an interest.

Prices in £ UK pounds sterling. Reserved records are currently unsold and may still be for sale.

Post & Packing (Shipping & Handling to those of you not speaking the Queen’s English) and Insurance are extra.
Payment in £ UKsterling. Please do not hesitate to request further information. PAYPAL, if you pay the fees (+5%), is also acceptable.

“BOX” indicates that record is part of FONTANA boxset of rare reissues. There are 12 records in the box and, at present, I do not wish to separate the contents. Bids welcomed above £250.

MUSICASSETTES SALE: Doors, Nice, Earth & Fire etc.

This sale commenced in late 1999 as a result of replying to wanted ads in Record Collector magazine. Having lugged the collection seemingly halfway across the planet it seemed a sensible idea to prune the metaphorical vinyl tree. Unfortunately the roots have sold first – sixties prog/psychedelia (Jason Crest; Clear Blue Sky; Idle Race; One In A Million etc.)

WILLIAM ORBIT fans may be aware of his early recordings with TORCH SONG.  Unfortunately the demo cassette (and also promo cassette) listed is now sold, but I do still have a DAT master and CDR copies. This was the demo cassette that William, along with fellow band members Laurie Mayer and Grant Gilbert, sent to record companies in 1983 and which helped secured a contract with IRS. You can read all about it and the early history of Torch Song by clicking here

THE BEATLES white album (now SOLD) was purchased from Sheltons, Peterborough, England in 1969. On the counter was a stack of some 30 or so copies. All of them were top opening stereo sleeves but with MONO discs inside, all with posters but none with the individual portrait prints. All copies had obviously been out in the racks at some time. I chose the best condition copy – sleeve VG, vinyl MINT. So what were Apple playing at? Why all the mono disks in stereo sleeves?

DEPECHE MODE fans will find a fairly complete set of 12” remixes along with some 7” singles and a more haphazard selection of ERASURE 7” & 12”. Both collections have a few press releases/tour information and some promo/ DJ remixes. There is an onUSound DM 12” and one MADONNA with an unusual phased mix of Cherish.

There is an almost complete run of PINK LABEL ISLAND WIP 6000 series singles (including early GREEN LABEL CHRYSALIS) offering the serious collector the unique opportunity to purchase an essential part of UK late sixties musical heritage.

Pre Bhangra interest is catered for with several early INDIPOP releases (Monsoon, Sheila Chandra etc), some including Press releases.

Can anyone identify the two white label 12"s listed as UNKNOWN?

Comments from satisfied collectors:-

"Maxi single arrived today in perfect condition. Many, many thanks for this and the £5 refund of postage. I have searched for 32 years for this 7" maxi single. Praise be to the Internet and WWWeb!!! Now all I have to do is to buy a vinyl record player!" Scotland, 23 September 2004

"Many thanks for the Hendrix album...I wish all dealers supplied records in such good condition."

"Just a line to confirm receipt of your package and, once again, I'm thrilled to bits."

"Got the record this morning, many thanks for the swift posting.  The overall quality of the packaging and vinyl is far superior to the US version of anthology 3 that I bought recently. Much obliged"

As you will see I bought many obscure records which nobody else liked at the time. I still like them and so I suspect do many more of you…

Happy Collecting,

私の折衷的なコレクションへの歓迎

Chris.
